Tommy’s Dive Center Phuket is a five-star PADI dive centre located in Rawai, on the southern tip of Phuket, Thailand.
Objectives
The existing website of Tommy’s Dive Center had been built in WordPress but had not been updated for more than five years. The website therefore faced multiple challenges : security risks (due to outdated plugins, themes or WordPress core), performance issues, an ageing design, and a navigation structure that made it difficult for site visitors to find key information quickly (such as diving courses, fun dives, private trips or contact details). The objective of the redesign was to first clean up and secure the website, then create a completely fresh web presence that is welcoming, user-friendly, clear in content and easy to navigate.
Solution
Dawa Web Agency was chosen to carry out the project. The approach was two-fold. First, the agency undertook a full audit and “cleanup” of the existing WordPress installation : removing obsolete plugins and themes, updating the core system, hardening security settings, checking backups and ensuring the website was stable and safe. Once the foundation was secure, the agency moved on to a full redesign. They opted for a modern, lively design portfolio with bold visuals of underwater scenes, clear iconography and a structured layout.
Results
As a result of this work, Tommy’s Dive Center now enjoys a refreshed web presence that better reflects the energy and professionalism of the dive centre. Visitors landing on the homepage immediately see clear course options (such as DSD programme, Open Water Diver, Advanced OWD) with simple thumbnails and starting-prices, plus strong credibility via guest reviews.
Navigation has become intuitive so that whether you are a beginner wanting your first dive or a professional looking at instructor level training, you can find what you need in a few clicks. From a technical standpoint, the site is now secure and built on an updated WordPress version, reducing maintenance risk and support costs.
