Client presentation
The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) promotes cooperation between its 53 Member States in Asia-Pacific and its 9 associate members in the search for solutions to the challenges of sustainable development. ESCAP is one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations.
Objectives
ESCAP’s role as the regional development arm of the United Nations Secretariat is to support its membership, through analytical, normative and technical cooperation, to respond to development priorities and the changing needs of the Asia and Pacific region. In order to improve the visibility of ESCAP, the commission wishes to revamp its website in line with modern UX design guidelines, accessibility standards and mobile compatibility.
Solution
Dawa web agency, chosen as the United Nations consultant for this project, worked closely with the website managers to develop a set of themes for the main website and the website’s sub-sites. We also coordinated the integration of the proposed designs with the ESCAP IT and development teams.
Results
